Curtis (his preferred name) was given the name Albert Curtis Taylor born to AC Taylor and Margie Taylor at E.A. Conway Hospital in Monroe Louisiana, on February 12,1963. Both parents preceded him in going home. Curtis moved to California with his family, at the age of 4 months and lived in San Francisco for about 7 years and then the family moved to Oakland, where he continued his education. Eventually he was employed with Excellent security for many years in San Francisco California.
Curtis was a kind spirit, who loved his family. About 8 years ago he moved to Riverside to be closer to his son, Ahmari, he loved his 'Bouka Man', he affectionally called him.
A couple of years later he met Maria, who thought he was too skinny and wanted to feed him. They got married in Mexico and their love blossomed, they were inseparable until his untimely homegoing. He loved going to Mexico with her. He was mostly a homebody and loved his sports teams.
Many of the people he knew in the neighborhood, expressed how kind and helpful he was. A couple said that he would walk some of the children to school, to make sure they made it there safely.
The one funny thing about Curtis was, his whole life, he would bite his tongue when he was doing anything, working on something, cooking, playing, that tongue would go side to side. He also passed it down to his oldest nephew.
Curtis leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Maria Guzman-Taylor, one son Ahmari 'Bouka Man' Jackson-Taylor, Sisters, Annie Drumgoole, Van Taylor, Twanisha Taylor, Toni Singleton, brothers Alonzo Taylor and Tywan Taylor. A younger sister who proceeded him in her homegoing, Beverly Taylor-Jenkins. One Aunt Billie King. Many Nieces and Nephews and a host of many relatives and friends. And his beloved dog Maxine.
