Susan M. McNamara

Susan M. McNamara, a resident of Croton-on-Hudson, passed away on February 23, 2023. She was 68. Susan was born on March 12, 1954 in Yonkers, NY to the late Edward and Ruth (Rowe) McNamara. She worked for many years as an insurance adjuster at NFP Insurance, where her co-workers became her dear friends.

Susan loved to travel and with her beloved niece they explored the world. Whether it was Marrakesh or just a Broadway play and dinner she never tired of a new adventure. Reading and shopping were among her may hobbies, but her most cherished role in life was being "Aunt Sue" to her nieces and nephews.

She is survived by her sister Kathleen Clonan and her husband Robert, two brothers John McNamara and his wife Rebecca, James McNamara and his wife Rachel. Several nieces Cindy Clonan, Tara Prockter {Dave},

Mary Kate Swanson {James}, Emily Burgos and one nephew James McNamara. Great nieces and nephews Aly and Kyle Prockter, Sarah and Sabrina Swanson, Jackson Swanson and Tristian McNamara.

Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, February 28 from 10am- 12noon at Edward F Carter Funeral Home, 170 Kings Ferry Rd., Montrose, NY 10548 with a prayer service starting at 12 noon. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the American Heart Association
