Sharon Lynn Curinga, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on March 4, 2025, in Peekskill, NY, at the age of 70.
Born on September 21, 1954, in Peekskill, NY, Sharon was a woman whose life centered around her family. She met her beloved husband, Mark Curinga, at work, and the two married on April 21, 1990. Together, they shared many years of love, companionship, and dedication to their family. Sharon was a devoted mother to her children, Yolanda Spieler, Julio (Junior) Morales, and Tina DeChico and her husband Nicholas, always putting her family first and ensuring they knew how much they were loved.
Sharon was adored by her grandchildren—Jessika, Megan, Brianna, Alexis, Christopher, Imani, Jordan, Alain, and Janaya—and she treasured every moment spent with them. Her role as a great-grandmother brought her immense joy, and she loved her great-grandchildren Aiden, Jackson, Lincoln, and Freya with all her heart.
Sharon is also survived by her brothers, David and Michael, and her sister, Ellen, who, along with her extended family, will carry forward the memory of her caring, selfless spirit.
Sharon was predeceased by her parents, George and Ellen (Rose) Conklin, as well as her siblings George, Brian, Fran, and Richie.
Sharon had a deep love of music and singing, and her joyful voice was often heard in her home. She found great joy in singing and sharing her love of music with those around her, brightening the lives of her family with every note.
Sharon’s legacy is one of deep love, kindness, and devotion to those she held dear. Her family was her greatest joy, and she will be remembered for her unwavering support, warmth, and the countless ways she touched the lives of everyone she knew.
A celebration of life will be held in honor of Sharon on March 15th, details to follow.
