Growing up in Laval and later St. Laurent Steve displayed an early love of aviation wanting to be a pilot. He translated that love into a career as an aviation mechanic for Air Canada in Montreal where he worked for 30 years. His artistic skills were put to the test when during his tenure there he designed the winning logo for Air Canada’s Montreal maintenance base. His love of aviation was only rivalled by his love of music of which he possessed an almost encyclopaedic knowledge.
He is predeceased by his father John Cooke. He leaves his mother Barbara Cooke, sister Brenda Cooke, Toronto, brothers Larry (Aggie) Halifax, Ronnie Cooke, niece Emma Marotte (Simon) Halifax, nephew Oran Marotte (Chimi) Toronto, and many dear friends.
