Jean Pierre Themens

Jean Pierre (JP) Themens passed away peacefully on Tuesday Oct 4th at his beloved home. JP was born in St. Jerome, Quebec, attended high school in California but returned to the province he loved to build a family and career in finance. It began with Green Shields, then Merrill Lynch and finally ending as a Senior Vice president at CIBC Wood Gundy in Montreal. He led by example with steadfast discipline, long hours of devotion to the well being of his clients, whom he regarded as family. Always aiming for excellence in business or playing tennis with friends, JP won in both. Receiving trophies as well as accolades, including becoming one of Canada’s top asset managers. JP also gave annually to the Heart Institute of Montreal and volunteered for the Norwegian Church.

Jean Pierre was predeceased by his devoted wife, Torill who passed away in 2018. Leaving behind his children: Christian, Marianne, Veronica, and grandchildren: Corynthia, William, Roarke, Laurence, Nathan Pierre, Beatriz, Alexandra, Ingrid, Brooke, Julien.

The funeral will be held at Centre funéraire Côte-Des-Neiges (4525 Ch. de la Côte-des-Neiges, Montréal, QC H3V 1E7, Canada) on November 19th, 2022, 1:00 pm.
