At the age of 71, James Sheshko (Jim) passed away peacefully at Joliette Hospital on March 28, 2025, after a period of declining health. Jim was born in Montreal in 1953 to Stephen Sheshko and Anna (Gregorynska) Sheshko.
Jim had a deep affection for the tranquility and beauty of nature, particularly at his cherished Camp Ukraina, his furry friends, and music -- of which he had an encyclopedic knowledge and memory. He will be remembered for his sense of humour, candour and intelligence. Jim valued the sense of connection he found with camp neighbours, the Knights of Columbus and the Order of Secular Franciscans, and is survived by his brothers Nick (Claire) and John (Linda) and by his nephews and nieces.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents and brother Peter and will be laid to rest with them in Cimetière Notre-Dame-des-Neiges, Montreal, Quebec.
