While working on a photo project, I came across this photo of a book cover and decided to see what James had been up to. Unfortunately, I found out that he had passed. We were not friends, however I met James at a gathering of " The Spices Boys " a number of years ago.

He was travelling and accumulating stories concerning hot sauces and spices. Our group got together once a week to compare hot sauces that we had discovered, while eating wings and James fit right in. When I told him that I made my own sauces, his eyes lit up and we spent a portion of the evening tasting them and talking about the attraction that we both had to them. He told me that he had to include me in the book that he was putting together and when I received a copy, I was ecstatic!

It was a special evening that I will always remember! I only wish that we had stayed in touch.
