Eileen Katz

Peacefully on Saturday September 30th. Loving mother of Jonathan Abrams. Loving daughter of Mary and the late Seymour Katz. Supremely proud grandmother of Zachary, Nicholas and Olivia. Devoted sister and friend of Carrie Katz and Syd Streicher and sister and sister in-law Kenny Katz and Lise. Coolest aunt to Douglas, Scott , Jill, Stephanie and Jason.

A talented abstract artist, Eileen could bring life to a canvas, couch, pillow and clothes through a mix of colours and texture. She was most at peace when working her craft and would immerse herself translating her vision into reality. It was her way of expressing herself, her outlet.

To say she had many friends would be an understatement and the love they felt for her cannot be put into proper words. Her ability to connect with people and form deep friendships was remarkable. She was always there to provide guidance and an ear when needed.

We will all miss her more then she could ever know.

Funeral services will be held at Centre Funeraires Cotes-Des-Neiges (4525 Côte-des-Neiges) on Sunday, October 8th at 11 am. Condolences can be shared with family at Ruby Foo's on Sunday, October 8th from 7-9 pm and Monday October 9th from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm
