Clara Woo Wu Siow Tsen

Clara Wu (Woo Siow Tsen) passed away peacefully in her sleep in Montreal on Monday October 18th at the age of 98. She will be reunited with her late husband Lin Wen Mei Lam Cham Kee, and leaves behind her six children Ivy (Harry), Ken (Marilyn), Kong (Cecile), Jane, Irene (Joe), and Jeremy (Shirley), and her eight grandchildren Eileen, Sophie, Aurélie, Jason, Fiona, Chelsea, Christopher and Julian.

Born in Taishan, China, Mrs. Wu grew up in Hong Kong and graduated from Shanghai Dasha University. Mrs. Wu pursued a career teaching English prior to getting married with Mr. Lin Wen Mei. She and her husband raised their family with utmost devotion in Mauritius for 35 years before they retired in Montreal, Canada. Despite the challenges life threw at her, Mrs. Wu approached life with pure harmony, optimism and warmth. Right until her final moments, her face lit up when a loved one entered the room. She will always be remembered by her gentle smile, her love of books, her wisdom, and her classic fashion sense. Her teachings will be always engraved in our hearts.

A visitation will be held at Centre funéraire Côte-des-Neiges (4525 Ch. de la Côte-des-Neiges) on Sunday October 31st from 2pm to 8pm, and the funeral service will be held on Monday November 1st from 9am to 12pm.
