thinking of you, and missing you Andrew all the time.

Andrew was a very bright, smart and kind colleague. A very committed professional. I had many occasions to outlined his great value to us. He will be greatly missed in the next decades as his expertise was incredibly valuable. 
He was systematically sharing his great and in depth knowledge and was able to keep people attention and making nice jokes from time to time. I had only very nice experience and was a found of this man.

To Andrew’s family and friends,
I’m a colleague of Andrew from Paris. We have worked together on several projects for the past years. I truly appreciated him. Not only did he have very good skills, but also he was very human and cool, always making the others feel comfortable or saying a good joke at the beginning of a meeting. 
I was surprised when I heard he passed away, as we used to work together just some weeks ago. 
He had even insisted to join my calls from the hospital, and we were expecting him back.
I know he missed his past holidays in the South of France and in Italy. 
He was looking forward to travel again after the crisis. 
I shared with him the last Rolling Stones song and memories from holidays in Europe. 
We will all miss his amazing T-scripts, his travels’ memories, his cute Canadian accent, his kindness, his funny jokes, his great humanity!
All my thoughts and sympathy go to his family!

J’ai rencontré  Andrew lorsque j’ai join la BNP en 2008. Nous avons étroitement travaillé ensemble dès mes débuts, et c est bien là que j’ai appris à le connaître, à apprécier sa gentillesse, son support, et aussi son sens de l humour bien à lui . 
Nous formions, avec les autres collègues, une équipe formidable, solidaire et motivée !
J ai adoré ces moment là !

Andrew was a good person. For few years, his office was near my desk. He was funny and nice, I will remember him.

J’ai connu Andrew quand j’ai entré à la BNP (Paribas) en 1983. 
Il était au centre comptable, et moi à l’informatique.

Nous étions toujours rassurés que lorsqu’il donnait son accord de validation, il avait tout vérifié et le résultat était parfait. 
Il a fini par nous rejoindre à informatique et il était heureux comme nous et surtout très épanoui. 
Il s’impliquait à fond dans son travail. Il était professionnel, fiable, intègre, loyal, drôle et surtout un bon collègue et ami.
L’annonce de son décès m’a bouleversé.

J'ai eu le plaisir de côtoyer Andrew pendant plus de trente ans, de loin d'abord, puis comme proche coéquipier. C'était un homme bon, drôle, curieux et prêt à aider au-delà du strict nécessaire. Nous lui devons l'organisation de nombreux repas en commun dont le fameux "potluck" annuel des Fêtes. Nous avions pris l'habitude de luncher ensemble, et il nous racontait ses voyages avec un plaisir évident, surtout lorsqu'il avait pu entrer en contact avec les gens, et il était content de nous montrer ses photos. De beaux souvenirs!

To Andrew's close family, whom I had the chance to meet over the years, and all of his family here or afar, I extend my deepest condolences.

Dear Helga, Kathleen and Chris, sending our deepest condolences and love on behalf of the Lambert-Abracen clan. Our family will always remember Andrew with great affection, as a wonderful friend, husband, father, and grandfather. I spent every summer between the age of eight and eighteen enrolled in NDG House League Soccer; for the vast majority of those years, Andrew was my coach, his daughter Kathleen my teammate. Standing well over a metre below the height of the crossbar, I volunteered for goalie on day one and the rest was history. I clearly remember the excitement and thrill of receiving my colors as a Corvette, as a Pluto, as so many teams over the years, but the pride that I grew to have in the sport came from Andrew. His dedication to the team and to its players was unwavering; he paid no mind to the fact that this was House League soccer for girls, and that the players held varying levels of skill and enthusiasm. His passion was infectious, and his mantras memorable: "Be the Ball" (the goalie got that one) and "down the line!" whenever there was a throw-in. I remember at one of the many feasts he hosted after a season at a buffet restaurant, he presented me and several others with a small award of a globe. Inscribed on the bottom of mine: The Nullifier. Then as now I didn't often receive awards for my athletic ability, but I treasured it and still remember beaming as I received it. I loved soccer with Andrew. I cherish my memories of those summers and of his friendship with my family. Thank you for everything, Coach. See you down the line.

I first met Andrew many years ago when our sons played soccer together. I have such a fond memory the very first time Jessy got a hat trick. Andrew tossed his hat onto the field with a great big smile. He had great passion for the game.

J’aimerais tout d’abord offrir mes plus sincères condoléances à toute la famille; Andrew a été un mari, un père, un grand-père, et un frère choyé de vos présences.

Pour ma part j’ai été son collègue de nombreuses années chez BNPParibas.  Nous avons travaillé dans la même équipe rapprochée et nous avons partagé de très bons moments ensemble.  
Andrew et moi sommes nés la même année 1955 (un bon millésime vous me direz) et nous avions de nombreux points communs tout particulièrement dans les sports.  Nous partagions les mêmes idoles au hockey avec les Henri Richard, Ken Dryden, Jean Béliveau, Guy Lafleur et j’en passe.  J’étais avec lui lors du défilé pour le déménagement du Forum vers le centre Bell.  Je l’entends encore siffler au passage de Gump Worsley afin d’attirer son attention.  Nous étions tellement contents qu’il nous ait salués, de vrais enfants.  Un très beau moment passé avec Andrew.
J’ai aussi en mémoire ses récits de ses voyages de pêche au Nord du Québec et la description qu’il me faisait de ses fameux shore lunch mémorable.
Nous attendions tous avec joie la journée de sa fête car nous allions tous déguster la paella en sa bonne compagnie.  Un autre moment bien spécial.
Je vous disais que nous partagions de nombreux points dont aussi celui d’être devenu des grands-papas à quelques mois de distance.  A la naissance de son premier petit-fils il ne pouvait dissimuler toute sa fierté. 

Andrew était un homme bon, humain et généreux et c’est cela que je veux retenir de notre sincère amitié.

I was sad to learn of Andre passing.  I have met Andrew in 1992 when I stated at BNP Paribas and I have fond memories of working with him he was a lot a help to me hen I arrived at the bank.

I am very sad to learn of Andy’s premature passing. While we had known one another since we were children, we only saw each other infrequently as adults. Yet, Andy always had the same youthful sincere smile, empathy and thoughtfulness whenever our paths crossed over the years. He was a good and kind mind man. I am so sorry to hear of Andrew’s passing. Our history goes back a very long way. I recall staying with Andrew’s family in the summer of 1965, hanging out with his brother Mark. Our respective families saw each other often at various  events and celebrations. We lost touch as we grew up but I was always aware of the Kolada boys. The last time I saw Andrew and Helga was at my mom’s 90th, almost four years ago. He seemed, as always, a good man. That is how I will remember Andrew. A good man.

Hi Andrew,

I can't believe the news! Still remember your ever smiling face and jolly nature. I recalled our first meeting in office when i came from India to visit colleagues in Montreal.
You were so caring and helpful to check around the places and took efforts to help us in all possible way. Also you showed the work enthusiastically.
You have been always helpful and would always crack jokes to make us laugh.  
 It's hard to believe that we will not receive those hilarious mails from Andrew. For sure we are going to miss your presence in the office and in our hearts.
