Willie Lucille Thrower

Willie Lucille Thrower, age 75 went to be with her Lord and Savior at 11:10 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010. She was a member of Chisholm Baptist Church. Mrs. Thrower loved everyone. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert Steven Thrower in 1990. She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Welborn Thrower; two daughters, Carla Gieske-Straulin (Howard) and Pamela Thrower both of Montgomery; two granddaughters, Amanda Lee Reed (Mark) of Montgomery and Elizabeth D. Gieske of Mobile; one sister, Brenda J. Railey (Fred) of Wadley, AL; three sister-in-laws that she loved like sisters, Gene Towns, Lena Partridge (James) both of Alex City and Bessie Collins (Roscoe) of Sylacauga; a brother–in-law, Hoover Thrower; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins who she loved very much. Funeral services will be held on Friday, April 9, 2010 at Leak Memory Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Robert (Bro. Bob) Bradley officiating. Burial will follow at Stewartville Church of God Cemetery in Stewartville, AL. at 2:00 p.m. Serving as pallbearers will be , James Kendrick, James Cannon, Mark Reed, Donald Towns, Brian Towns and Richard Yon. Honorary pallbearers will be, Glenn Blake, Glynn Thompson, Douglas Thrower, Stanley Thrower and Phillip W. Thrower. The family request in lieu of flowers donations be made to Chishom Baptist Church or your favorite charity.
