July 31, 1992 – November 5, 2021
Will, 29 years old, passed away on November 5th 2021 at UAB Hospital after a valiant fight to reclaim his life. He was born and raised in Montgomery and Pike Road AL and was adored by his family and all those that knew him. His number one priority was always his family. He was happiest when he was at home and everyone was together in the kitchen, watching football, telling stories and there may have even been something involving a competition happening. He was known for his beautiful crystal blue eyes, his mischievous smile and his laugh-out-loud sense of humor. He was kind hearted, a protector and was always willing to help anyone with anything that they needed. He loved big and once you were a friend you were a friend for life.
Will packed a lot of living into his short time on Earth. He grew up racing BMX bikes and then his need for speed turned his focus to four wheelers and motorcycles and when he learned to drive it was all big trucks and loud pipes. He went to school at Macon East Academy, where his favorite subject was definitely football – especially defensive tackles. After high school he combined his passion for the outdoors with his love of art and architecture by going to work in the field of landscape and landscape architecture. Honing his craft, he ultimately started his own company in Birmingham AL and was very proud of his clients and the work that he did, even having some of his work featured in Southern Living Magazine. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, sportsman and camper. His other passion was dogs, specifically English Bulldogs and a close second were the family pets Spookie and Lucy who are still waiting for him to come home, he was a dog whisperer. Will loved all things University of Alabama Football and was a die-hard fan whether they won or lost…ROLL TIDE, Baby, we will see you on the other side!
Will was preceded in death by his beloved Stepdad Sandy Stringer and his paternal Grandmother Emily Richardson. He is survived by loving family, mother Leslie Stringer, brother Bishop Stringer, sister Morgan Symons, brother (in law) Matthew Symons and niece Merritt Symons, maternal grandparents Leonel and Frances Nelson (Tata and Cuffie), his father Bill Richardson III (Julia, Katherine, Hannah), paternal grandparents Bill Richardson Jr (Julia), his favorite uncle Britt Richardson (Crista) and his aunt Allison Brodbeck.
In loving memory of our Will, we ask that In lieu of flowers or a charitable donation in Will’s name, you find an opportunity to perform an unexpected and unsolicited act of kindness to someone in need, someone that may have a worried mom, dad, sister and brother that might just need a second chance or a glimpse of love and hope.
