William B. Harper Jr.

William Bradley Harper, Jr., age 77, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 5, 2022. Bill was born November 17, 1944, to William Bradley Harper and Elizabeth Nall Harper. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Sarah Frances Harper and Ruth Harper Baggett. Bill is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jane Rose Harper and children, Polly Harper Marcy (Jay) and William Bradley, III. Bill worked at Alfa Insurance Co. as Senior Vice President of Alfa Life Insurance Corp. and Alfa Financial Corp. for 40 years. He was a member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church for 50 years.

A family and friends' visitation for Mr. Harper will be held Friday, October 7, 2022, at 12:30 PM at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 3604 Pleasant Ridge Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life memorial service at 2:00 PM with Dr. Rick Marshall officiating. A private family burial is set for a later date. Pallbearers will be Buddy Adamson, Dr. Chip Armstrong, Jimmy Carlisle, Charles Borden, Jim Cravey, Allen Foster, Kerry Lashlee, Ken McGraw and David Grimes. The Harper family expresses their deepest gratitude for your outpouring of love, prayer and affection during this time.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Eastern Hills Baptist Church, Alabama Baptist Children's Homes and Family Services, and The Baptist Foundation of Alabama for the Harper Family Scholarship Fund.

Served as Deacon at Eastern Hills Baptist Church and Trustee and various committees

The Baptist Health Care Foundation: Served on the the Board of Directors, the Grant Chairman to distribute funds to the Baptist Hospitals in Central Alabama and as Chairman of the Board

The Baptist Foundation of Alabama for over 20 years and was named a Lifetime Board Member. Served as Investment Chairman and as Chairman of Board of Directors. Served on the Selection Committee for the new President.

Served as Chairman of the Serve Committee at Eastern Hills Baptist Church to do ministries for other ministries in the Montgomery area.

Served as a Carpenter for Christ for 14 years building churches across the U.S.
