William Earl Gray

William Earl Gray of Montgomery, AL passed away June 2, 2013. Mr. Gray was born February 22, 1921 in Deatsville, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents Mattie Lou Pyron Gray and Henry Nathan Gray, two brothers Henry and Rev. Calvin Gray, and two sisters Ruth Gray Hollon and Inez Gray Hand. He is survived by his wife of 72 years Mavis Rita Evans Gray, two daughters Jennifer Gray and Sheila Gray Tortorici (Vincent), a brother Bryant Hollon and three sisters Juanita Gray Dupree, Avis Gray Finch and Merrell Gray Day. Mr. Gray is also survived by three grandchildren Vann Junkins (Ashley), Kristen Tortorici and Michael Tortorici (Kristen). Mr. Gray was also blessed with three great grandchildren Emily, Evan and Sadie Junkins. Mr. Gray was a veteran of World War II, a charter member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church and retired from Dixie Electric Company of Montgomery after over 30 years of service. Funeral services will be held at Leak Memory Chapel in Montgomery, AL with visitation at 10:00 am and service at 11:00 am on Wednesday June 5, 2013 with burial at Pine Flat Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Deatsville, AL. Pastors Rick Marshall and Larry Armstrong of Eastern Hills Baptist Church will officiate the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
