Roger Dill had a superior ability in relating to people socially and in sharing the gospel.  He taught our family the gospel and the entire family was baptized into Christ and have served the Lord for 46 years.  We are so blessed to have known this sweet, caring man.  We are thankful for his sweet wife Helen and all of his children.  We are better for having all of you in our lives.

Helen, Richard and I would like to express our love and sympathy to you and your sweet family.  Roger taught and baptized me in 1972 while serving as the Pulpit Minister at Central Ave. Church of Christ in Valdosta.  We will always remember what wonderful and dedicated servants you were to the church and community.  Many members at Central have fond memories of you and Roger working with our congregation. I am saddened by the passing of Mr. Dill.  He baptized me at Central Avenue Church of Christ in Valdosta,GA while is was minister there.

I fondly remember Roger Dill when he was the pulpit minister at the Auburn church of Christ. Although I had already moved away, it was always good to come home and be in the assembly. He was a jovial person, laughed easily and pleasant to be around. He enjoyed singing, fellowship with other Christians and he always spoke the truth of God's word. Nina and I have many fond memories of singing at the Dill house and other gatherings.  We were so positively impacted by Roger's teaching and the example of his and Helen's lives together!

i woke up this morning at 4:30 which is a little early for me. i was thinking about Roger Dill. A lot of you may not know Roger Dill. Bro. Dill is a gospel preacher who passed away Wednesday. i have been influenced by several great gospel preachers in my life. i also know some preachers who have no business being preachers. Roger Dill had more character and integrity in his smallest finger than i have in all my being. To say that it was an honor and a privilege to know him is a tremendous understatement. Roger Dill is the man who made me want to preach the gospel. i don't preach like Roger Dill, i try to preach like Roger Dill. ii don't live like Roger Dill, i try to live like Roger Dill. he was a great influence on many many lives in his lifetime and i am grateful that i am one of them.(This is a post my husband, Mike Porter, from Mossy Head/Crestview, FL shared on Facebook this morning).  We may not have seen bro. Dill in recent years but we loved him dearly!

We are thinking of you at this time of loss and sorrow. We will be praying for God to comfort you and help you now and in the months to come. It is a joyful thought to me that Brother Dill is in Paradise. He was a good, faithful, soldier of the Lord; leaving an example for us all. I was always impressed with Brother Dill's heart for teaching the Gospel to the lost. He taught and baptized me, I married a preacher, our daughter married a preacher.
