William Horace Bell, Jr. affectionately known as “Wild Bill”, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016. William was born an only child in Harlem, New York on February 26, 1958 to Lillian Cobb and William, Sr. He graduated from Dewitt Clinton High School in the Bronx and later continued his education at Knoxville Business College in Tennessee. Upon moving to Montgomery he attended Alabama State University where he pursued a dream and studied Art, proudly placing 3rd place in an ASU Art Contest in 2013. Bill was a jack of many trades but was a certified Master Electrician, working in commercial construction most of his adult life. He was raised Catholic but attended Mt. Pleasant AME Zion Church in Knoxville, TN and most recently became a member of The Sanctuary Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery AL. At 13 years of age, Little Billy discovered motorcycles and riding soon became his passion. Over the years, “Wild Bill” traveled most of the US enjoying the beauty of nature from that special biker perspective. He loved the camaraderie of riding clubs and was affiliated with Alcoa Biker Boyz, Three Friends and most recently the Gold Wing Riders Association. Bill is preceded in death by his parents, William H. Bell, Sr. and Lillian Cobb. He is survived by his loving wife and soul-mate, Robin Richardson-Bell; his children, Antoine Bell (Orlando, FL); Colonaii Bell, Trevor Bell, Donovan Bell, Chevon Bell and Kwanza Scullock, (Tampa, FL) as well as six beautiful grandchildren (Tampa, FL). Celebration of Bill’s Life will begin at 1:30 pm on Saturday, June 11th, 2016 at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home with reception and visitation to immediately follow.
