Wilbon F. Gardner

Wilbon F. Gardner of Montgomery passed this life on Friday, August 9, 2013. He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Helen Maddox Gardner. He is preceded in death by parents; Louie and Virgie Lee Owens, sisters; Jo Spires and Doris Knight and great grandson Andrew Cannon. He is survived by daughters; Gwen Massey (Alvin) and Gail Boothe (Matt). Grandchildren; Jessica Cannon, Erica Powers, Benjamin and Zachary Stillwell, Ashley Gafford, Chase and Taylor Massey and seven great grandchildren. Sisters; Nell Peffers of Rantoul, IL, Mary Pritchard of Charleston, SC, Edna Obregon of Bay Minette, AL, and Pat Dennis of Deatsville, AL. Brothers; Gilbert Gardner of Montgomery, and James Gardner of FL. Pallbearers are his grandsons. Honorary Pallbearers are the members of Fleta Masonic Lodge. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 at Leak Memory Chapel. Services will be held Wednesday, August 14 at 2:00pm at Leak Memory Chapel led by Michael Rippy of Evangel Temple, graveside to follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Special thanks to Gentiva Hospice.
