Walter Lynn Woodfin

Walter Lynn Woodfin, age 54, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Friday, July 1, 2022. Walter was born April 16, 1968 to Roy Douglas Woodfin and Julia Mae Woodfin. Walter was preceded in death by his father, Roy Woodfin but survived by his mother; his brothers, John (Donna) and Roy (Tasha); his sisters, Loretta (Brad) and Beverly (Mike); and his children, Tyler, Sarah and Lena; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

As owner/operator of Walt's Lawn Care, he had an in-depth knowledge of lawn care and maintenance. He not only had a professional relationship with his clientele, but a deeply personal one as well. His clients knew him as a caring, loving and compassionate businessman who dropped what he was doing to help them meet their lawn care needs, oftentimes with very short notice. He fully lived the verse in Acts 20:35; “…it is more blessed to give than to receive.” Walter will be remembered for his joyful demeanor, heart of gold and love of dogs and family, especially his children. He enjoyed fishing and was known to drop a hook most anywhere. With a heart of compassion, he always shared what he had and encouraged others to get their strength from God.

A family and friends visitation for Walter will be held Thursday, July 7, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109, followed by a celebration of life chapel service at 10:00 AM. Services will conclude with a burial in Montgomery Memorial Cemetery, 3001 Simmons Rd., Montgomery, AL.
