Walter Samuel Hill Jr.

Walter Samuel Hill Jr., 89, passed away in his sleep on August 4, 2020. Sam was born to Walter Samuel Hill Sr. “Shine” and Mary Lyndell Wheeler Hill “Moma Lynn” on September 17, 1930 in Fayette, Alabama.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 60 years, Mary C. Hill as well as his sisters; Myra Lynn Williams and Carol Long.

Mr. Hill leaves behind a son, Kenny Hill (Sherri Lynn), and many nieces and nephews to cherish his memory.

Sam taught shop for over 20 years at Bellingrath and Carver. He was a passionate bowler and played tennis in his youth. Sam also served his country in the US Army and Army Reserves.

A graveside service honoring his memory is set for Friday, August 7 at 3:00 pm in Montgomery Memorial Gardens. On line condolences maybe shared at: www.leak-mc.com.
