Verlon Reginal Frost, age 78, better known as “Jack” Frost, received his robe and crown on September 12th, 2020. First, he was a family man. Mr. Frost graduated from Auburn University and retired from the State of Alabama after 31 years of service. He was a master gardener, a Biblical scholar, a poet, and the keenest man of his generation. He enjoyed a gourmet cup of coffee, fish on Fridays, the theatre, fine music, sharp clothes, soft blankets, and hard-hitting football games. Mr. Frost loved the Lord, his family, and the United States of America.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Carolyn; his sons, Kurt (Sara), Karl (Jennifer), and grandchildren, Karson and Arden. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph and Una Thomas Frost, and sister, Fran Worley.
Visitation will be held at 1:00 on Wednesday, September 16, at Leak Memory Chapel with a memorial service at 2:00 officiated by Rodney Culpepper. Pallbearers will be his sons, grandson, nephews, Matthew Payne and Jonathan Henderson, and honorary nephew Hunter Tomblin.
