He was preceded in death by his son, Thomas “Shawn” Wood and his mother, Helen Copes Wood.
He leaves his wife of 51 years, Catherine M. Wood; a son, Randall S. Wood, Sr. (Dawn) and a daughter, Sheri Wood Dykes (Eddie). He leaves seven grandchildren, Michelle, Jessica, Elissa, Shane, Sarah, Logan and Landon, all of Montgomery County, AL. He was a Deacon and member of Calvary Baptist Church in Montgomery. In his lifetime, he taught Sunday School for 51 years.
Visitation will be on Sunday, April 27, 2014 from 3 – 5 p.m. at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be in the Chapel of Alabama Heritage Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, April 28, 2014 with burial following in Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
