Mr. Thomas A. “Tommy” Pierce, born March 1, 1953, passed away on December 16, 2014. He was preceded in death by his father, Harry B. Pierce, and his mother, Leatha C. Pierce. Tommy is survived by his wife, Cathy Pierce; son, Derek Bates; grandchildren, Braylee and Brice Bates; brothers, Bubba Pierce (Shelby) and Russell Weaver (Genye); sisters, Harriet Godwin (Kerry) and Cynthia Sanford (Jerry); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Tommy was an avid Alabama fan.
Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, December 22, 2014, at Greenwood Cemetery. Rev. Winston Brooks will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the services at Leak Memory Chapel.
