Thomas Alvin Mercer III

Mercer, III, Thomas A., 19, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2014. He is survived by his parents, Thomas A. and Mary C. Mercer, Jr. of Montgomery, AL; sister, Amanda T. Mercer of Montgomery, AL.; paternal grandfather, Thomas A. ( Frances) Mercer, Sr. of Montgomery, AL; aunts, Barbara M. (Ed) Montoya, of Titus, AL; Bitsy Barkley, Marguirette Fields (Lyle), Cynthia Ohlin, all of Montgomery, AL and Jeanne Golden of Milton, GA. and many loving great aunts, great uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Lillian B. Mercer, maternal grandparents, Robert & Issa B. Crutchfield, uncle Robert Wayne Crutchfield and two aunts who were very dear to him, Carla M. Goodman and Gene M. Odom. Pallbearers will be Walker Woodson, Matt Murray, David Hubbard, Eli Cox, Peyton Payne and Patrick Domingo. Honorary pallbearers will be Luke Lanzetta, Russ Daniel, Chase Reid and Grayson Myer-Bruce. Thomas was a graduate of Saint James School and attended the University of Alabama and was an avid Alabama football fan. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Funeral services will be Sunday February 9, 2014 at 2:00 PM at First Baptist Church. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:30-7:30 PM at. Leak-Memory Chapel.
