Thomas Wayne Jones

Thomas Wayne Jones, 89 of Montgomery, AL passed away peacefully on March31, 2025 at his home surrounded by loving family. Tom was born in Danville, VA to the parents of Hazel Owens Jones and James Jones.

Thomas retired United States Air Force as Chief Master Sergeant with 22 years of service and service in the Vietnam War. Then began a 2nd career and retired Civil Service in 2004 with 29 years of service as Senior Traffic Management Specialist. He also was a longtime member and Deacon at Yarborough St Baptist Church in Montgomery for 45 years.

Thomas was preceded in death by his parents Hazel Owens and James Jones, son Steven Jones and grandson John Casey Sullivan.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years Peggy Jones; daughters Lora Lopuhousky, Donna Sullivan Dew, Alesia Simmons; sons Bradley Jones, John B. Sullivan; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Chapel Service will be held on Monday April 7th 2025 at 2PM with a family and friends visitation one hour prior to service. A Graveside Committal service will be held in Greenwood Cemetery immediately following.
