Dr. Thomas Clifford Bibb (TClifford), 79, passed away on December 16th, 2017 in Montgomery, Alabama after a brief illness. He was born October 29, 1938 to the late Alma Lee Grant (Baby Sista) and Bennie Lee Bibb.
A 1956 graduate of Booker T. Washington High School, he received Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Alabama State University and a Doctorate from Northwestern University. He forged his professional career at several colleges across the Southeast before returning to Alabama State to teach for 32 years. He also served many years as director of choirs at Lilly Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Lula Bell Grant (Mama), his parents, and sisters Linda Dianne Houston Ward, and Bonnie Ruth Bibb Jennings Davis (Honey).
He is survived by his daughter Tura C. (Ralph) Bibb-Stinson of Montgomery, Al; Step-daughter Nicole Sharpe; Step- grandchildren, Marissa (Gary) Lett of Monroeville, AL. Donnell Brown of Omaha, NE. Antione Stinson and Christopher Stinson, Nicolas and Nevin Sharpe, all of Montgomery, AL; Six nieces and nephews, Nadine (Joseph) Tuffour, Alma Addy, Navis Jennings Jr., Clifford (Veronica) Jennings, Claudia Fitzpatrick, and DeCorey Hawkins and all of Montgomery, Al., and a host of other family and friends.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. January 13, 2018 Lilly Baptist Church, located at 820 Hill Street, Montgomery, AL 36108.
