Theresa Reardon, 74, a beloved wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother (Siti), sister, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend passed away at home on Wednesday, December 28th. She was a resident of Pike Road, Alabama.
Theresa was born in Birmingham on August 17, 1948. She is survived by her husband of 50 years John Reardon; her four sons, Allen, John Jr., Mike, Ben; nine grandchildren; brother Bob Zarzaur (Gilda) of Birmingham, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, William Sr. and Emelene Zarzaur and her brother Bill Zarzaur Jr.
Theresa was a dedicated teacher. After graduating from John Carroll High School in Birmingham and Auburn University, she spent the next 40 years teaching in Catholic schools in Birmingham and Montgomery. She taught at Saint Bede for 30 years. After she retired, she continued her love for educating children by working at Old Alabama Town giving tours.
She was a faithful member of Saint Bede the Venerable Catholic Church.
Her favorite times were spent with family, her two dogs, reading, and playing Mahjong and Bridge with friends. She also enjoyed spending time at the farm and traveling.
We will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, January 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Bede the Venerable 3870 Atlanta Hwy. Montgomery, Alabama 36109. All are welcome.
