Steven Alexander Murphy

Steven A. Murphy, age 67, passed away peacefully at his home on May 4, 2020. A life-long Montgomery, Alabama resident, Steve grew up an avid sports player. He played quarterback for the 1970 Lee High School State Championship team, and later taught his daughter to throw a perfect spiral. He is preceded in death by his father, Willard Flynn Murphy, and mother, Annette Black McLain. He is survived by his daughter, Bailey Murphy; sister, Lynn Wise; brother, W. Flynn “Buddy” Murphy, Jr; and many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins. We love you, Boy.

A private graveside memorial and burial will be held May 8, 2020. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD).
