

Steven Jay Dunn, age 76, a cherished resident of Montgomery, peacefully departed this life on February 15, 2024, at Baptist South Hospital, surrounded by his loving family. Born on November 21, 1947, in Montgomery. Steve was the son of JT Dunn and Earlene Dunn, and brother to Suzanne Dunn, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his devoted wife of 47 years, Cynthia Dunn, his sons Jeffrey Dunn (Kristin), Brad Bass (Heather), his daughter Alicia Hull (Tim) and his sister Agnes Hammer. Steve was affectionately known as "pappy" to his 8 grandchildren: Hunter, Taylor, Parker, Jay Spencer, Ford, Benton, McKenna and Emmett.
Steve pursued his education at Auburn University, where he was a proud brother of Pi Kappa Alpha Fraternity. He dedicated much of his professional life to Best Glass Company, where he served as a shareholder. Steve's passion for his work was evident, as retirement never seemed to be in his plans, he genuinely loved what he did.
Beyond his professional achievements, Steve was a remarkable husband, father and grandfather. His caring nature and infectious smile touched the lives of all who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.
A visitation to honor Steve's memory will take place at 1:00 pm, followed by a celebration of life at 2:00 pm, at Leak Memory Chapel on Tuesday, February 20, 2024. Steve's absence will be deeply felt, but his spirit will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
