Starrie Allen Campbell was born December 25, 1947, in Montgomery, Alabama to the late Enoch Allen and the late Carrie Bell Wellington Allen. Born the seventh child of seventeen children, Starrie always helped all of her siblings in any way she could. She loved her family dearly her whole life.
She grew up abroad and went to schools all over the world and would later marry Thomas Washington Campbell, Jr. of Tuskegee, Alabama. She attended Huntingdon College and focused her further studies on Accounting, Finance, and Business Administration.
Being a true believer in Christ Jesus, she loved the Lord above all and was dedicated to her family until the Lord called her home to be with Him early Wednesday morning, October 14, 2020.
Starrie leaves behind her husband of 55 years - Thomas Washington Campbell, Jr, and her children - Thomas (Kamillah) Campbell, III - Tammie (Roderick) Pettway, and Anna Maria Allen and her grandchildren - Jordan Roderick Pettway, Kyah Simone Campbell, and Khristian Thomas Campbell. She leaves behind siblings from oldest to youngest: Four of her siblings preceded her in death: Bertha Mae Allen, Henry Allen, Alberta Allen-Baskin, Emma L. Allen-Williamson. Eleven siblings still living: Albert Allen, Jr. Pasadena, CA, Alzena Dixon, Pasadena, CA, Robert L (Renae) Allen, Colorado Springs, CO, Tarsher L (Alice) Allen, Aurora, CO, Flossie L Canty, Birmingham, AL, Jerome (Mary) Allen, Georgia L Allen, Janice M Boone, Jimmie L Allen, James P Allen, and Lawrence J Allen; nieces Mary B (Jeffery) Reese - all of Montgomery, AL, nieces Naomi Garcia, Ft Walton Beach, FL, Renee Tarvin, Tina Lonon, Loretta Gholston, Evon Maria Tarvin, Geraldine Gigi Tarvin - all of Georgia; Aunt Dorothy Sankey, Cincinnati, OH, Aunt Ethel M (Joe) Murrell, Montgomery, AL, Uncle James Wellington, her late Aunt Aurelia Wellington, late Aunt Geraldine Tarvin, late Aunt Lucinda Wellington Goolsby, late Aunt Naomi Wellington Johnson, late Johnnie Mae Wellington, late Uncle Alexander Wellington, late Uncle John Wellington, late Uncle Scott Wellington and a host of loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Starrie is also survived by many other relatives including sisters-in-law Francis Ann (Harry) Bartee, Nellie Williams, Patricia Slade, and Carol Cheatham and their families as well.
