The World is a much colder place with the passing of such a warm-hearted man.  Stanley was so much larger than life, a compass for us all, caring friend to any in need, and a safe harbor to those in distress.  He tirelessly fought the good fight, not only working to right wrongs, but to change hearts and stir our social conscience.  In personal conversation, his gentle home spun way of talking always persuaded you to open your mind and see the issue from another’s point of view.  By his example he challenged you to not only recognize injustice in the World, but to enter the fray and work beside him to make a difference. I can think of no life more an example of what is good in Man, and what can be achieved if we all could find that "Heart of a Lion" that Stanley Tolliver did.

You know, I don't think I ever saw Uncle Stanley without a smile on his face and a huge laugh! He was good about that! He was always a joy and such fun to be around! I can't imagine Aunt Nancy without him! They were always two peas in a pod... that fit so perfectly together! I love y'all both!!! And Aunt Nancy, we'll all miss your man! Hugs to you!!! You're definitely one of my very most favorites!!!

Our memories of Capitol Grill, the Muffler Shop, & we must not forget the Race Track will always be with us. We know we haven't seen a whole lot of each other lately but you have never been far from our thoughts.  Once you meet Stanley, he's next to impossible to forget. Plus the fact that he never forgave us for cleaning up his shop, what a hoot that was.  Oh, and we mustn't forget the Christmas Candy he would not share, especially the Macadamia Nuts from Hawaii. We love you all and will be praying for Our Lord to give you the peace and strength you will need in the days to come.

To the Tolliver Family,  My thought & prayers are with you.  My son was in Tammy's class a few years ago at ACA.  We just wanted to let you know that we are thinking of you at this time.  Richard, Saundra, Candace & Mike Soden

I know how important Peepaw has been to Nicholas throughout his life. Nick is a fine person and a part of Mr. Tolliver's legacy, so although I didn't know Mr. Tolliver, I know he made the world a better place. Please extend our condolences to your children and grandchildren.
