Shirley Carmack Thompson passed away peacefully at home September 26, surrounded by family and friends. Shirley was magic and wild, loving and funny. The life of the party and the sparkle in every room, she could be found dancing the nights away lit from the glow of her jukebox. Her wit, humor, and beauty were unparalleled. She was one of a kind and impossible to forget. Now she shines among the stars and will live on in the hearts of all those she touched. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark Lloyd Thompson II. She is survived by her nieces, Jennifer Cai Gillis and Patricia Lard; her stepdaughter, Anna Popovich; her stepson, Mark Thompson III; her cousin, Billy McDougald; numerous friends; and her loving cat, Louie. Sweet dreams, sweet Pearl. We will remember you always.
