Sarah Beth Hurlbert, beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, and friend, age 51, died on June 21, 2021. Sarah is a 1988 graduate of Jefferson Davis High School. She attended Sinclair Community College as well as Auburn University at Montgomery. Sarah was a remarkable person who always went out of her way to be kind and to support those around her. She was known for her corny “mom” jokes, making those around her laugh. No matter the circumstance, she saw the good in everyone and put others first.
Sarah is survived by her two children, who were her pride and joy, Jordan- age 28 (Paul) and Rebekah-age 23 (fiancé Matt). Anyone who knew her, knew that her children were the light of her life, and that’s all that ever mattered to her.
Besides her children, Sarah is survived by her mother, Sara “Sally” Hurlbert, sister Kimberly (Roger) Conner, nieces Elizabeth (Nick) Drollette and Victoria (Chad) Luse, great aunt Tant, and former husband Blake Foster. A memorial service will be held at Frazer United Methodist Church on Saturday, July 10th, 2021. The visitation will be held at 10 AM with a service to follow at 11 AM.
In honor of Sarah, a donation may be made to your local food bank or to Frazer United Methodist Church missions department.
John 14:2-3, “In my Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you and if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you unto myself that where I am you may be also.”
