Ruth Grindle Thompson

Mrs. Thompson is survived by her son, Walter (Tammie) Thompson and Joel (Ana) Thompson. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Ruthie Thompson, Victoria Thompson, John Michael Thompson, JoAna Thompson, Joseph Thompson and Sam Moody; sister Betty Jean Willis and sister in law Pete Grindle and numerous extended family.

Mrs. Thompson was a graduate of Vanderbilt University with M.A. and Montevallo University with a B.S. She loved cross stitching and gardening and was a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.

Services for Mrs. Thompson will be Saturday, December 23, 2017 at Leak Memory Chapel at 11 AM with a visitation at 10 AM. Burial will take place at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Sardis, Al.

Active Pallbearers will be Richard Lang, Dean Smith, Cole Smith, Bart Bowles, Sam Moody and Robert Pugh.

Rev. Joel Thompson will officiate.
