Russell Eugene Whitfield, 74, of Montgomery, AL was born on July 5, 1942. He went to join our Lord and Savior on May 12, 2017. . Russell was retired from the City of Montgomery Fire Department. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann; brother, Wayne Whitfield of Shelby, AL; three children, Barry Whitfield, Terry (Rowe) Whitfield, and Sandra Dickey, all of Montgomery. He also leaves behind 10 Grandchildren and 4 Great-Grandchildren. A Visitation will be held at Leak Memory Chapel from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 with a Chapel Service beginning at 2:00p.m., officiated by Rev. Ron Davis. Burial will follow Shoal Creek Cemetery off Hwy 111. Pallbearers to include: Terry Whitfield Jr., Nick Whitfield, Josh Monroe, Cody Dickey, Tyler Stewart, and Billy McQueen.
