Ruby Grace Parker

Grace Parker, 80 passed away Friday, October 19, 2012. She was preceded in death by her husband Thomas C. Parker; parents Mr. and Mrs. Rubin Hicks and a sister Ruth Hall. Survivors include her daughters: Rheata (Jimmy) Dozier, Emily (Mike) Johnson, Marty (Charles) Brown; Sisters: Sarah Lisenby and Dr. Carol Baggett; Grandchildren: Michael (Claire) Johnson, Mandy (Chris) Franks, Katherine Johnson, Amelia (Eric) Walker, Ashley (Ladon) Dansby, Mitch (Ranah) Dozier; Great Grandchildren: Dozier and Parker Dansby, Emma and Hudson Franks, Sidney and Ella Johnson; Lillian Walker; Special Friends: Rosie Coleman, Helen Espenshade and Mildred Johnson. Graveside services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at Greenwood Cemetery with Rev. Daniel Dean officiating. Visitation will begin at 1 pm at Leak Memory Chapel. Pallbearers are Eric Walker, Ladon Dansby, Michael Johnson, Chris Franks, and Mitch Dozier. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Brown, Mike Johnson, and Jimmy Dozier. To her family, Grace was amazing, fun, loving and totally devoted. Grace was happy and enjoyed helping others laugh, often at her own expense. She knew your faults and loved you anyway, grabbing and hugging hard. She has found her “purse” in heaven.
