Robert Douglas Pike

Robert D. Pike passed away on May 31, 2023 at the age of 98.

Mr. Pike was born in Banks, Arkansas. He then joined the military at 18 years old.

Robert was a WWII and Korean War veteran, as well as a member of the revered greatest generation in our nation's history. Robert served 20 years in the military total, three years being in Army Infantry and seventeen of those twenty years in the U.S. Air Force as a fighter pilot and pilot instructor.

Following Mr. Pike's military career, he then found a passion within flying private jets for many politicians and well known celebrities.

Upon Robert's retirement, he loved playing golf at least three times a week, working in his garden, and taking care of his cherished family. Mr. Pike was happily married to his wife, Vera M. Pike for 63 beautiful years. Robert is preceded in death by Vera, whom passed on November 11, 2011; both of his parents, Robert W. and Ruth O. Pike; as well as his siblings.

Robert D. Pike is survived by his three children, Brenda Pike Hutter, Robert M. Pike (Jean), and Vicki Pike, whom all reside in Montgomery, Al.

Family and friends are cordially invited to the visitation for Mr. Pike, which will be held on June seventh at one in the afternoon. After Mr. Pike's visitation, a graveside service will be held at two in the afternoon.
