Robert L. Futrell

FUTRELL, Robert "Bob" was born on July 12, 1944, in Kansas City, Kansas. He was born into a military family which allowed him to travel all over the world. He graduated from Eufaula High School and attended Auburn University. He worked as a Civil Engineer for 37 years for Bell South/AT&T, and retired 3 years ago. He loved vacations and spending time with his family. He also loved trains and going to baseball games.

Preceded in death by his father Robert E. Futrell, and his mother, Dorthea R. Futrell, he is survived by his wife, Linda Futrell of 46 years; his son, Robbie Futrell (wife Michelle); daughter, Jennifer Chavers (husband Mark); 2 sisters, Claudia Williams and Janice Ryals; 1 brother, Bruce Futrell. He had 6 grandchildren: Hayden Chavers, Sarah Teeter and Jordan, Jake, Josh & Joey Futrell, along with 3 great-grandchildren. His Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2014, at Alabama Heritage Funeral Home at 1 PM, followed by a Life Celebration Service at 2 PM, with Interment following in Alabama Heritage Cemetery.
