Pat, I know it's been a year since we lost Bob, I hardly go a week that I do not think of you and Bob,I seen to have a strong attachment to our early days in school and
somehow I feel like I lost a brother,and I
guess I did. I still am very saddened to this day.

Dear Pat, Michele and Tara,
We were deeply saddened to learn of Bob's passing. From the old days at Happy Hollow, we know how much he loved you. We hope you find comfort in that love. We consider ourselves blessed that God dealt us you and Bob as part of our life's poker hand.

Our memories of Bob include his kindness and love of a good story. We often laugh remembering how he convinced us that the two of you were married at the field of Doak Campbell stadium with Fred Bilentnikof as best man. We are sure he has the angels in heaven laughing and wondering about the truth of his stories. God bless him. And, God bless each of you in this time of sorrow.

Pat, it is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to one of the finest men I knew in my entire career.  A man of integrity, of great humor, and compassion.  John and I  enjoyed spending time with both of you at the CAP convention in San Antonio. I will always treasure that song he wrote when I retired.  Thinking of you dear one and remain grateful to have worked for Bob--he was loved.

Pat, oh how the Angels must be rejoicing today. But you know what? I would bet you that Bob is right inside the gates waiting for you, my friend. Just like he was 50 years ago. Know that Doug and I wanted so much to be at his Home Going Memorial, but it just wasn't possible. So many wonderful memories with you two and the Malletts. If we had one word to describe your wonderful husband, it would be integrity! We loved him so much. Will be in touch. You are most definitely in our hearts and prayers.

Pat and family:  To say Bob was a special guy is an understatement... He was an Awesome person; full of integrity, grit, passion, humor, music, logic, friendship, and love for those closest to him.  He was the epitome of the word "leader"- in his home and in his profession. Fly High, Bob...  We hope to see you in our Heavenly home one day in the future. Pat, it was great to see you at the funeral, I wish I would have gotten down to Mongomery more to see you and Bob.  It was also nice to see your daughters.  I will be in touch, we will get together again soon:)

Mrs.Brooks and family, words don't begin to express the sympathy my team and I have for the loss of such a strong, kind and gentle soul, Col. Brooks. He endeared us all as we ministered to his health concerns. He was always the consummate gentleman and demonstrated his love for life, family and laughter. He will be greatly missed. He is resting in true peace now.

I was just learned of Col. Brooks' death. It is impossible for me to adequately express my sincere sympathy at what must be a most difficult time for your family. I worked with Col. Brooks for the entire time he was at the National Headquarters of Civil Air Patrol, Inc. and I left their employment shortly after he did. During our time as co-workers I had nothing but the utmost respect for him, as a man and as a manager.  He was a fair and decent person, always.  I will never forget his many kindnesses and the support he afforded me while I was employed there.  Though I did not keep in contact with Col. Brooks once we left Civil Air Patrol, I feel that I have lost a very good friend. Please pass my sincerest condolences on to your family. Sincerely,

Bob was a good and special friend a long time ago before we all got so involved with real life.  I greatly regret that we were not able to stay in touch as well as we might have over all the years since that time.  It was so great to see Bob and Pat at our 50th high school reunion a couple of years ago and particularly the extra visits needed beforehand to get our old singing group back together for one last show.  Susan and I will greatly miss Bob, and his voice, in the years to come.  Even though we didn't correspond often it is sad to know that that opportunity has now passed.  Our thoughts are with Pat and the girls.

I am so sorry for your loss.  It was a pleasure knowing you and working for LTC Brooks; he was a good man.  I still have the song he wrote for me when I retired.  I know he'll be greatly missed by all that knew him.  You're in my prayers.

Pat, Michele, and Tara, we were shocked to hear of Bob's passing and the reemergence of his illness.  Our hearts ache for you during this time of extreme sorrow.  Bob was a very unique man.  He was loved by everyone and brought sunshine and joy into the lives of all he touched.  Our memories of he and you are endless and are all filled with warmth and laughter.  They go way back to our beginnings in the "Happy Hollow Gang" in the Philippines where we began our lifelong friendship.  We are indeed blessed for having known you and Bob and we take comfort in the knowledge that he is now in a better place.  May God bless and watch over you.
