Robert Lester Arnette

Robert Lester Arnette, age 69, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Saturday, April 29, 2023. One of four boys and a daughter, he was born to Louis Everett Arnette and Ella Kate Smith Arnette in 1953. Preceded in death by his father, Robert is survived by his mother, Ella Kate Arnette; his siblings, Grady, Stan, Travis and Linda Arnette; his son David and his grandson Leland Arnette. Mr. Arnette also leaves behind many nieces and nephews as well as friends to cherish his memory.

Robert retired from Hagar hinge where he demonstrated a solid work ethic that was valued by the company. A member of Vonora Ave. Church of Christ, he was known for helping anyone that his life touched. He loved the beach, particularly Gulf Shores and Pensacola, and was fascinated by lighthouses. While Robert was known as an Auburn fan, his deepest passion was his love for his son and grandson.

A friends and family visitation for Mr. Arnette will be held Friday, May 5, 2023 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home, 909 Lincoln Road, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. A a celebration of life service will occur Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 2:00 PM at White Chapel-Greenwood Funeral Home with services concluding with a burial in Greenwood Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Charles Petty, Curtis Flowers, Leland Arnette, Tom Howard, James Clayton, and James Eberly.
