Rita Levy Rosenthal

Rita Levy Rosenthal, age 79, of Montgomery, Alabama passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021. Rita was born August 28, 1942 in Columbus, Georgia to Louis and Anne Levy. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother Charles Levy and her daughter Jenny Rosenthal. Rita is survived by her husband of 57 yrs. Alan Rosenthal; her son Dr. Richard (Jennifer) Rosenthal; her grandchildren Madalyn, Jack, Bess and Ella Rosenthal; and her brother Mark Levy. Mrs. Rosenthal will be remembered as owner and operator of Beads, Etc. for over 20 years. She handcrafted custom jewelry as an expression of her passion for fashion. A gentle spirit with a warm and embracing smile, Rita will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

Due to Covid awareness, a family only graveside service for Rita will be held Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Greenwood Serenity Memorial Gardens, 909 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109.

Pallbearers will be Mitchell Allen, Barry Blondheim, Dr. Rick Ginsberg, Daniel Levy, Sam Levy, Jake Levy, Mike Butler, and Joshua Chandler with honorary pallbearers Dr. Edward Abrams and Dr. Lawrence Abrams.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rita's memory may be made to Camp Jenny, URJ Camp Coleman, 1580 Spalding Drive, Atlanta, GA 30350.
