Richard Wayne Melton, age 69 of Montgomery passed away peacefully on June 15 surrounded by loving family at Jackson Hospital. Richard was born in Clanton but relocated to the Montgomery area in 1978. He was a kind hearted Christian man who loved all animals, golf, water skiing and horses. He was preceded in death by his parents D.T. Melton and Norma Jean Melton and brother Randall Melton.
He is survived by his loving wife of forty-four years Rebecca “Becky” DeLoach Melton; daughters Summer (Jamie) Kyser and Shannon Melton; grandchildren Avery Kyser and Slade Kyser; sister Susan (Nick) Moss Also survived by multiple loving cousins, nieces and nephews.
