Peter Edwin Donohue, USAF, Ret., 75, of Montgomery, AL, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. He was born August 15, 1943 in San Francisco, CA. to the late James Robert Donohue and Eleanor Bull Donohue. Peter graduated from Pensacola Catholic High School in 1961 then enlisted in the USAF in April 1962, and commissioned in USAF in September of 1968. He graduated from Indiana University in 1968 where he received his degree in accounting (Cum Laude), after which he received his MBA from Texas A & M in 1972. Peter was the founder of USAF Small Computer Program at Gunter AFB in 1992. He also had a love for people, enjoyed helping others, and volunteered his services at Saint John’s Soup Kitchen, Baptist Hospice and with Catholic Social Services. He is survived by his wife Shirley A. Donohue; four children, Kathy Kidd, Robin Burkett (Michael), Matthew Damrosch (Lisa), Robert Donohue (Michelle); 6 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren. A Funeral Mass will be held at Church of The Holy Spirit at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 27, 2018, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. A luncheon will be held in the Parish Hall immediately following the service.
