Perry was born on January 17, 1947 in Clanton, AL. He graduated from Verbena High School in 1965. He did two tours in Vietnam and worked for the United States Postal Service for many years. Perry loved to joke and laugh, he was an avid golfer and Bridge player, loved football, and was a great and entertaining storyteller.
He was preceded in death by his parents: John Carlton Richardson and Ruth Howard Richardson and his two wives Joy Burkhalter Richardson and Jane Crump Richardson.
Survivors include his son: Kevin Richardson (Mary); two granddaughters: Evelyn Joy and Amelia Jane; four brothers: Andy Richardson (Sandra), Lynn Richardson (Gale), Keith Richardson (Linda), and Greg Richardson (Tricia); two sisters: Edith Robinson (Wesley), and Lisa Newby (Ned); and many nieces and nephews. Perry also leaves behind many devoted friends that were like family to him.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 22, 2020 at Leak Memorial Chapel (945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, AL 36109) at 10:00 AM with a visitation beginning at 9:00 AM.
