Patsy Ann Rogers Spruce, a resident of Montgomery, Alabama died in the comfort of her home with her loving family by her side, on April 11, 2018. Patsy was born in St. Louis, Missouri and moved to Montgomery, Alabama at the age of 14 years old. Patsy was an honor student of the first graduating class of Robert E. Lee High School in 1956 and attended Huntingdon College thereafter.
Patsy proudly served as a faithful and devoted Civil Servant for 30 years with the Standards System Center, Air Force Materiel Command and the U.S. Department of the Air Force. Patsy received many meritorious and citizen services awards for her outstanding leadership and dedication to her hard work in support of the Department of the Air Force from 1964 through 1994. Patsy’s dedication to a lifelong career with the Federal Government Services was an inspiration to her family, friends and many whom served in support of our country.
Patsy is preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clifton C. Rogers, and her husband, Frank B. Spruce. She is survived by her daughters, Daphne Nations, Felicia (Richard) Pratt, Lydia (Patrick) Riordan, and Debra (Michael) Minlionica; her son, Richard (Donna Sue) Spruce; her sister, Linda Sue Sparkman (Phillip); her brothers, Johnny (Lynda) Rogers, Edward (Robin) Rogers, James Rogers and her dearest companion, Charles Daniels.
She took loving pride in her 13 grandchildren, Lauren Nations, Lydia Nations, James Nations, William Morell, Rachel (Jason) Marchetti, Emily Pratt, Daniel Riordan, Sean Riordan, Keenan Riordan, Kelly (Anthony) Williamson, Jeremy (Darcy) Spruce, Jessica Spruce, Josh Spruce; and 4 great grandchildren, Nolan Sewell, Barrett Marchetti, Clio Williamson and Zoie Williamson.
The family will receive friends to celebrate Patsy’s life well lived at Leak-Memory Chapel on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Leak-Memory Chapel with graveside services following.
