Orin Lemuel Goocher Jr., age 88, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Friday June 14, 2024, after a brief illness. Orin was born in Montgomery Alabama, to the late Orin Lemuel Goocher Sr. and Lois Armstrong Goocher on August 30, 1935. He is survived by his beloved wife Allison Carrigan Goocher, his children Sherman K. Goocher (Cindy), Scott O. Goocher; his grandchildren Regan G. Rivers (Brandon), Mary Stuart Goocher, Caroline G. Goocher, Benjamin S. Goocher, Anna A. Goocher, Dorothy E. Goocher, and great granddaughter Allison E. Rivers, sister Roxanna B. Lunsford and many nieces and nephews. He was veteran of the US Air Force, a faithful member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church and later Thorington Road Baptist Church. He was loved by his family and many friends and was friendly to all that knew him. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Life on Wheels P.O. Box 240218 Montgomery AL. 36124.
A private graveside service will be held for the family on June 22 at 9:00 am, followed by visitation at 10:00 am at Leak Memory Chapel located at 945 Lincoln Rd., Montgomery, AL.
