Ola Mae Goodman

Ola retired from the State of Alabama Department of Mental Health after 23 years of service and was a dedicated member of Basset’s Creek Baptist Church for many years.

She enjoyed cooking with her grandchildren, sewing, and was an avid reader. She delighted in serving her Lord and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. William Leo Baugh, Sr.; her sister Mrs. Joyce Hollingsworth; her brothers, Mr. William Leo Baugh, Jr. and Mr. Marion Vernon Baugh; and her grandson, Mr. Darren Keith Goodman.

She is survived by her aunt, Mrs. Marion Bernhardt (Adam); her sister, Mrs. Vanette Phillips (J.B.); her daughters, Mrs. Sheryl Higginbotham (Michael) and Ms. Vicki Williams; her sons, Michael Goodman (Karen) and Jeffery Goodman; her grandchildren, Sarah Valpuesta (Domingo), Emily Higginbotham, Joel Williams, Jeremy Williams (Summer), Jennifer Sullivan (Dallas), Jeri Beech (Sean), Robin Sherwood (Colby), and Trey Edwards (Sydni); and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Joel Williams, Jeremy Williams, Hunter Williams, Dallas Sullivan, Waylon Loper, and Trey Edwards.
