Nellie Jeanette Weeks Boren, 82, of Montgomery AL passed away on September 17, 2023. She was born on July 24, 1941, to the late Willis Newton and Gaily Stephenson Weeks in Soddy TN. She married the love of her life, the late Gary Clark Boren, on May 24, 1967, in Soddy TN.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gary Clark Boren, parents, in-laws, Chester Clark and Amie Boren and sisters, Charlotte Abney, Judy Weeks, Saralyn Cranmore and her husband Tommy and brother-in-law Jimmy Richardson.
She is survived by her loving daughters Katrina “Tina” Boren, Saralyn (Scott) Whittington all of Montgomery, AL, and her son Jeffrey (Rebecca) Boren of Lake Dallas, TX, and like a daughter to her Lori Sellers of Pike Road AL. She is also survived by her grandchildren Gary & Lily Boren, Faith & Grace Whittington, favorite sister-in-law, Linda Boren Richardson, sister Susan Peel and a host of nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Southeast Hospice Network and especially Unice and Kamaria for their care, compassion and support.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Taylor Road Baptist Church building fund.
A Family and Friends Visitation for Nellie will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Leak Memory Chapel, 945 Lincoln Rd, Montgomery, Alabama 36109. A Celebration of Life Chapel Service is set for 2:00 PM followed by a burial service in Greenwood Cemetery. Dr. Daniel Atkins officiating.
