Mrs. Mitchelou (Mickey) Ladd Reynolds, age 81, entered the presence of Christ her Savior on Sunday, January 6th, 2013. As a loving mother and wife, she will be remembered for her sweet and generous spirit, her passion as a student and teacher of God’s Word, and the genuine humility and tender kindness that enveloped all she was and did. Born a coal miner’s daughter in Dunham, KY to James Mitchell Ladd and Flossie Cora (Kyle) Ladd, she joyfully spent her life encouraging her family and others to reach their full potential, touching countless lives with her kindness, compassion and thoughtfulness. Mrs. Reynolds was preceded in death by her daughter, Anne Louise Reynolds. She is survived by her devoted husband of 53 years, Jesse Preston Reynolds of Montgomery; her brother, James (Brenda) Mitchell Ladd, Jr. of Montgomery; her sons Jamie (Rachael) Reynolds of Littcarr, KY, Jon (Sherri) Reynolds of Troy, AL and David Reynolds of Seattle, WA; grandsons Austin Reynolds and Ian Blair; granddaughters Heather Reynolds and Jaylan Reynolds; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 9th at Leak-Memory Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 10th at 10:00a.m. at Leak-Memory Chapel, with Reverend Eddie Newton presiding. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Baptist Hospice.
