Milton "Poppie" Arnold Thomas

Milton Arnold Thomas 'Poppie' was born on February 28, 1967, in Montgomery, AL. As he grew up, he made the truth his own and dedicated his life to Jehovah in 1982 and devoted his life as a pioneer. In 1984, he met the love of his life Tanya Lynn Boquet, they pronounced their love for each other on June 14, 1986. Milton’s life was dedicated to his wife of 35 years, children/grandkids and his heavenly father, Jehovah God. He set a wonderful example and could always be seen in the ministry with his family and speaking to others about Jehovah. His smile could light up a room and it was one of his most memorable traits. Milton could always be found coaching his children in football, baseball/softball & basketball, coaching and mentoring kids was one of his true passions. His hobbies were many but some that he enjoyed the most were coaching and biking with Stafford Houston. Milton’s interest always included his family from taking them on vacations to simply enjoying being at home on his property. He could always be found singing and playing the piano, listening to Michael Jackson & Michael Bublé, watching an old western or the Andy Griffith show. He owned and operated his own business for over 30 years. Milton always put others interest before his own and he never met a stranger. Not a day ever went by that he didn’t speak to his parents and siblings. Milton truly left a mark on all that he met and forever will be remembered for his kind heart and Christian like qualities.

Milton and Tanya were blessed with four children: Jesse Angele Kristen Thomas ‘Krissy’, Blake Kristopher Ronald (Alley) Thomas, Paige Kristian Thomas (Spencer) Torian and Justin Micheal Bryant Thomas. Five grandchildren: (Krissy) Kinsey, Kayden, Londyn ‘Bobbie’; (Blake) Blake Jr. and Izabella.

Other immediate family members who cherished Milton’s life are his loving parents, Jesse and Thelma Thomas; Siblings: Jerome (Cheryl) Thomas; Spencer Thomas; Sandra (Tony) Shufford; Melvie (Denise) Thomas; Deborah (Ricky) Cunningham; Tracey Hill; Valorie Dowd; Noah Patrick (Cammie) Thomas; Edward (Ruth) Thomas; Derek [deceased] (Kris) Thomas, Katrina Denise Thomas. In-laws: Ronald and Sherry Boquet. Brother/Sister in Laws: Ronnie and Shelly Boquet; Jeremy and Sherrayne Martin, Tancy and Ricky Hileman, Skyla and Russ Thompson, Twila Boquet. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.
