Mildred Sexton Nichols passed away on May 1, 2018 at age 88 after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Mildred retired after many years of service from the Alabama Department of Education as an Accountant. She was a charter member of Danielsville Baptist Church in Honoraville, AL. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, William Kenneth Nichols; 2 brothers, Berlie Sexton and Homer Sexton; 3 sisters, Trixie Hudson, Ruby McCary, and Ouida Griffith; and her parents, Cora Sexton and Marion (Cabe) Sexton. Mildred is survived by her sister, Dorothy S. Dilly; nieces, Sherry Bryant (Terry), Shawn Tebbetts (Kenneth), Dawn Sexton, Wanda DeVine, Beverly Ballentine, and Gayle Grayson; nephews, Ronald Todd (Frances), Byron Owens (Lynn) and Dennis Dilly (Darlene); and numerous great nieces and nephews. She also leaves behind three loyal caregivers, Shirley Cook, Lakisha Hurst and Alexia Morris. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 4, 2018 from 5-7 PM at Leak Memory Chapel. Funeral services will be at Leak Memory Chapel at 10:00am on Saturday, May 5, 2018. Burial service will be at University Hwy. Church of God on Hwy 82 in Maplesville, AL following the funeral service.
